Prepare an exchange log for a personal-data request

Use these columns to keep information about your own project. The sheet is blank; you can print it and fill it in.

  1. Describe your question in your own words and identify the organization you intend to contact. Separate information useful to the request from private notes. Keep a readable version of the message actually sent: a draft and a sent message are different documents.
  2. Create one row per exchange with date, channel and associated document. Attach messages to the relevant request, especially when several matters remain open. An acknowledgment and a substantive response are different events; record what was actually received.
  3. For each reply, distinguish addressed points, open questions and missing documents. Prepare your next question from that list. Consult official documentation for conditions and possible next steps; do not infer a legal deadline from the example below.

Notes

This record organizes exchanges; it replaces no legal advice and alone proves neither receipt nor legal effect. Check the country, processing context and applicable rules with a competent source.
