Advertising integration
The Google AdSense script is loaded on public pages. Directory records, guides and direct links remain editorial content; their inclusion or order does not depend on purchasing advertising.
If an advertisement is displayed, it must be recognisable as advertising. The privacy policy explains Google’s possible role and the choices required for advertising trackers.
Visual and editorial separation
Advertisements must remain separate from navigation, search, action buttons and links to official websites. They must not imitate a directory record, search result or recommendation.
Content must not ask visitors to click an advertisement. Placements should limit accidental clicks, including on mobile, and must not obscure the main content.
Directory order and inclusion
Directory inclusion, ordering and descriptions are not sold as rankings. Advertising does not buy a better position, badge, favourable wording or exclusion of a competitor.
Any distinct sponsored content or editorial partnership would identify its nature and funder at the beginning, with presentation separate from ordinary records.
Suitable editorial content
Advertising accompanies useful, sufficiently developed editorial content. Empty pages, 404 errors and search results without content are not advertising placements.
Advertisements remain secondary to useful text, images and tools. A page must retain its usefulness when all advertising is removed.
Data, consent and choices
For advertising in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and Switzerland, Google requires a certified consent management platform compatible with the TCF. Consent must be obtained before using trackers that require it.
Advertising settings and the consent message depend on AdSense configuration. Read the privacy policy and the displayed consent information for data uses and available controls.
